Brainwave Entrainment
Brainwave entrainment (BWE) therapy is a noninvasive method that uses rhythmic sound, light, or electromagnetic pulses, to synchronize your brain’s electrical activity to a specific frequency. It encourages the brain to enter certain states (like Alpha for relaxation or Gamma for memory), this therapy can assist with performance, and physical recovery.
Wellness Purposes
- Cognitive Enhancement
- Stress and Anxiety Reduction
- Sleep Support
What to Expect:
Most users experience immediate effects like deep relaxation within 5 to 10 minutes of a session.
*Recommended 30 min, 2 – 5 times a week for general wellness.
Price $ 55.00 / session
- Hydrate well: Your brain requires optimal hydration to conduct electrical impulses effectively. Drink a glass of water shortly before beginning.
- Limit caffeine and stimulants: Avoid coffee, energy drinks, or nicotine for at least 2–3 hours beforehand. Stimulants artificially elevate your beta brainwaves, making it harder for the entrainment to take effect.
- Eat a light snack: Fasting can cause low blood sugar, which increases irritability and distractibility. Avoid a heavy meal, as digestion will make you too drowsy to stay mindfully awake.
- Prepare your environment: If practicing at home, use high-quality headphones rather than standard speakers to ensure accurate frequency delivery to each ear.
- Ground yourself before moving: Do not stand up immediately. Sit quietly for 2–5 minutes to allow your brainwaves to smoothly transition back to a normal waking beta state.
- Keep the volume safe: If you are listening over an extended period, keep the volume at a gentle background level. Pushing low frequencies too loud can cause temporary headaches or hearing strain.
- Limit screen time: Avoid jumping straight onto your phone or laptop. Allow your mind 15–30 minutes to integrate the relaxed state before bombarding it with blue light and notifications.
- Monitor your response: Keep track of how you feel. If you experience a brief “hangover” effect (mild headache, slight nausea, or vivid dreaming), shorten your next session. Beginners should start with just 10–15 minutes.
Comfort and sensory neutrality are your primary goals during a session.
- Loose, stretchy clothing: Opt for soft t-shirts, sweatpants, or leggings. Restrictive waistbands can disrupt your breathing patterns during deep relaxation.
- No hooded tops: Hoodies can interfere with how your over-ear headphones sit against your head, distorting the audio delivery.
- Minimal jewelry: Large earrings or necklaces can rattle against headphones or sensory equipment, creating a noisy distraction.
- Glasses instead of contacts: If your session involves a visual light mask, contacts can cause dry eyes during extended blinking or closed-eye focus.
- Layers: Your body temperature often drops as your nervous system shifts into a resting alpha or theta state. Bring a light sweater or socks.
